Solo Accompanist Rehearsals

- All Brass & WW Solo Contest Participants
- Honor, Symphonic, Concert, select Beginning Band members
- $25 Accompanist Fee – paid directly to accompanist
- 10 Minute sessions – each student has his/her time on her Solo Info sheet
DMS Symphony Orchestra recording concert
- Thursday, May 16th
- Full Orchestra members
- Houston Christian University (formerly HBU)
- Bring Full dress uniform to school, change before departing
- Travel by bus at 12:30
- Lunch Provided at HCU by VBB!
- Parents invited to attend – Performance is at 4:00pm in Dunham Theatre
- Return to DMS at 5:30 (pick up from Band Hall)
- Audience members – be very still and quiet, this recording will be summited in the TMEA Honor Orchestra contest.
Solo & Ensemble Contest
- Friday, May 17th
- Honor, Symphonic, Concert Band members (& Select Beginners)
- DMS Band Hall – Pick up /drop off @ Band Hall (park at Rodgers)
- Students have individual performance times on their Solo Info Sheet
- Arrive 20 minutes before your performance
- Warm Up in the cafeteria upon arrival. Be at your performance room 5 minutes before start time.
- Parents, you are welcome to listen to your child’s performance!
DMS Band Inventory Check
- Monday, May 20th
- All School-Owned instruments must be returned by this day!
- Returning students can take their instrument home for summer Wednesday/Thursday, May 22/23
- (This does not include instruments rented from music stores or personally-owned instruments.)
