The Viking Band Boosters Club plays a crucial role in supporting your students and directors. Our primary objectives include promoting the band program, encouraging greater parental involvement in organizational and chaperoning activities, and raising funds to fulfill the needs of the band program that may not be entirely covered by FBISD. The funds we raise contribute to student scholarships, contest entry fees, hiring clinicians and guest artists, organizing special events and performances, covering transportation and meal expenses, purchasing music, acquiring instruments and equipment, and addressing various other necessities. Your support makes a significant impact on the overall success and enrichment of the band program.

Membership & Volunteering

We extend a warm invitation to all Viking Band parents, guardians, supporters, and enthusiasts to join the Viking Band Boosters Club and consider making a tax-deductible donation! While volunteering is not mandatory for membership, if you have an interest in volunteering, we offer numerous enjoyable and significant opportunities throughout the school year. Your participation and support contribute greatly to the success and vibrancy of the Viking Band.

Parent/guardian volunteers are essential to our band program, and we would love for you to become more involved in supporting your student’s band experience, We are a Big Family.

Interested in Volunteer Opportunities?

  1. Ensure that your email address is updated in Charms.
  2. FBISD requires all adults to undergo a free background check in order to volunteer with any organization. Adults are not allowed to be with DMS Band students without a completed background check.  It only takes a minute to fill out this short form, and you should receive an approval within hours from FBISD. Click the link below. It expires every year on June 30th, so you’ll need to renew next summer as well.  FBISD Background Check (Required)
